A Selection of Sports and Outdoor Activities
If you enjoy the tranquility of the trails, Wissant is the place for you:
- By the Sea: Take the coastal trail (GR120) to admire the cliffs of Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez. On a clear day, the English coast will seem close enough to touch!
- On Land: Set out to explore the Boulogne hinterland. Amid lush green hills, unspoiled wooded countryside, and quaint stone villages, the hiking trails offer a wilder and more peaceful side of the Opal Coast.
- Escalles is thebest starting point for climbing to the top of the Cap Blanc Nez cliff
- Hervelinghen: a village surrounded by pastures, perfect for a bike ride through the rolling countryside of the Boulonnais region.
Most of these villages can be reached via hiking trails or the “Vélo route.” Electric-assist bicycles are available for rent in the village center.
